ABOUT MITCH

Born and raised in the Greater Seattle area, Mitch Barchi completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at The Art Institute of Seattle. Mitch is currently employed in the game design industry as a graphic designer / illustrator.

Mitch has developed gaming prototypes, which were showcased at the San Diego Comic Con. The prototyping requires experience in print media, laser cutting technologies, silk screening and the Adobe Creative suite.

In digital medium, Mitch has experience creating solutions with HTML5, CSS, Wordpress, illustrations and other digital assets with Adobe’s Creative Cloud software.

Mitch also has skills in digital photography. Since moving into Downtown Seattle in 2009 he has been driven to document live music, culture, and the people who create it. His photographic work has been featured in The Capitol Hill Times, Fort Nisqually's Occurrences, thedrainage.net, NadaMucho.com and 4Culture.org. He is looking to expand this skill set whenever possible.

Mitch is an avid board gamer who loves to create positive interactions through gaming. He has done volunteer work for SFR-inc's Dragon Dice by providing game aide designs for PAX Prime. He also has volunteered time as a user experience tester at Wizard’s of the Coast.

Contract Graphic Designer

I work within the Adobe Creative Suite daily using Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator to help refine game prototypes.

This includes illustrating game components, generating layouts, designing iconography, and creating print ready files. I am also tasked with the crafting of game prototypes for play testing and presenting to clients.

Working with the Art Director as well as the Editorial, Sales, and Prepress departments requires excellent communication and organizational skills to complete our projects successfully.
